Student & Lecturer @ Alsterdamm
It was at the "Alsterdamm Academy, where I found the perfect setting to level up my creative work. After graduating, I was offered the great opportunity to pass my design knowledge as lecturer and ambassador at trade fairs resp. upper secondary schools.

For my thesis I created "sleevers". A trademark offering smartphone sleeves made of club flyer leftovers. To emphasize the brand identity, I not only elaborated the corporate design and a specific B2B-packaging, but also developed an online shop including a swap meet. By providing this opportunity to exchange the "sleevers", I considered the natural shortage of club flyer leftovers as well as their specific designs.
To generate the necessary brand awareness, I utilized several guerilla marketing tactics. Such as QR codes leading to videoclips in which thrown away flyers jump right back out of the trashcan to reappear as "sleevers".
As part of my thesis presentation – that was conceptualized as a hybrid booth for business-to-business- and trade-fair-audiences – I showcased more than 150 "sleevers". By the end of the exhibition they were completely sold out. Except a few that I was able to save for an "Art Directors Club" event where each last one of them was stolen, which I take as a compliment.

As a lecturer at the "Alsterdamm Academy" I elaborated teaching concepts for the subjects “Perspective Drawing“ and “Poster Design“ to successfully apply them in various classes.

During this class I focused on the idea to launch a blog that showcases various spare time activities in Hamburg. A task that was received very well by my students, who created the awesome blog "Follow me to Hamburg“, which you can check out here.

To keep the motivation level as high as possible, the tasks of this class were explicitly build around the student's main interest: working with music, movies and events. Each particular challenge initialized the next one which – in combination with purposefully integrated elements of surprise – kept the students excited until the end of the semester.
